I'm thinking about creating my own seed as follows:
By the time I turned 30, I lived in 24 cities. Yeah, I moved a lot, especially when I was a kid. I have memories of every place I lived except for the first, but it's where I was born, so that's easy to remember, and the order of places I lived is easy to remember.
My plan:
I own a Blockstream Jade.
I create a seed by typing each city into Jade and choosing the nearest BIP 39 word. For example, Miami. "mia" is closer to "middle" than it is to "meddle." Cincinnati? cinnamon. All of my cities are obvious in terms of which BIP 39 word they're closer to, so that's easy.
After I get the first 23 BIP39 words, I have Jade show me which 8 words checksum for a 24th word and I choose the closest checksum word to the name of my 24th city.
FYI, those city examples aren't my real cities.
So, I have a 24 word seed where the words weren't chosen randomly, but my word choices have no pattern or meaning based on the BIP 39 list.
I will write down the actual BIP 39 words on paper and back them up on metal. I'll secure them in two locations only I have access to. And, I'll have my list of cities as a third backup, because I'm never going to forget the places I lived, but I'm not relying on my memory. It's just an extra form of backup, just in case.
Is there a reason why this is a bad idea?
