If it wasn't for memecoins, most of people in my country wouldn't have been introduced to Crypto

I won't defend memecoins utility but the promotion they get helps cryptocurrency in getting more exposure to general public. Most of documentaries projected Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as something they pay for illicit activities.

But memecoins were something which everyone wanted to be part of and seemed harmless. Until rugpulls and scams started rolling in. Still alot of people in my country know about Bitcoin and dogecoin in general.

Even when I started my cryptocurrency journey I bought Shiba first, now knowing what it is, I dropped some bags from it. Months later, after going through some quality write ups in this subreddit and daily updates about various projects I diversified to some stable projects.

TLDR; it all started with memecoins, now it's utility coins
