Everyone knows that telling people around you..heck even more so on the internet, is a bad idea that is just asking for trouble. If someone says that they have 1 BTC, an army of people starts yelling at him to shut his mouth and not discuss it online.
If that is the case, why is there a moons counter next to people's usernames, signalling exactly how much each of us earned? Isn't this basically putting a massive target on some people's backs? Most of us use other subreddits and some post pictures. They are exposing themselves to a potential bad actor and they know exactly how much they hold.
I may be too cautious but better safe than sorry is what I say. Especially in this space.
