If you invested in software in 1980, you were early. If you invested in software in 2000 you were still not too late.
Microsoft went public in 1986 and compounded at 25% annually ever since. Imagine holding an asset that compounds 25% annually and being able to hold it for decades.
Many financial professionals didn't invest in software in the 1970-1980s because they felt it was something that you couldn't touch or something that wasn't real.
Same excuse many use for not buying BTC today.
Talking to people including financial professionals makes it clear that most don't understand it or have an emotional bias against it.
