If you were Satoshi…

With the utter insanity of one guy running around claiming to be Satoshi in the most unconvincing and litigious way, I often wonder what Satoshi himself would think about all of this, and whether he would step out from the shadows long enough to prove this man is not who he claims to be.

I know we each have our own assumptions of who Satoshi is or was, but I firmly believe his silence during all of this courtroom drama speaks volumes. I don’t think he is among the living and able to speak his mind at this point… and I’d like to think he would if he could. I know I would if I were him.

If you were Satoshi, witnessing all of this play out, how would you handle it without totally doxing yourself in the process? Or would you simply stay silent?

If I were Satoshi I think I’d do one of two things (or both, I suppose):

1. I’d move a few Sats from my wallet to some random wallet. Craig said he didn’t have the keys any longer so this would certainly prove someone else was in control.

2. Sign a transaction with Satoshi’s keys that just states “Craig is NOT Satoshi” as an op_return

Then I’d stomp on my hard drives of course. Because reasons :)
