I bought crypto because I see it as a potential median of exchange in a worst-case scenario. Unlike gold and silver, it's divisible which makes it suitable for smaller transactions.

Most cryptocurrencies are decentralized which means that I can instantly send it directly to anyone in the world without the need of a central authority. It's also impossible for a tyrannical government to seize the funds in my wallet and all I need is my seed phrase to access those funds.
