I have a Tangem wallet and have been transferring coins from Coinbase to the Tangem wallet because I have quite a bit of money in coins on Coinbase and I feel insecure with Coinbase "owning" my crypto. So far I have successfully transferred BAT and ETH to the wallet .. can anyone explain why both of these coins went to the same address? Shouldn't these have their own unique addresses? I desperately need a learning resource for understanding network and coin addresses. I've been watching YouTube videos for using The Tangem wallet and I can perform the processes for transferring coins to my wallet but no video has really went into detail about understanding network and coin addresses. I really want to understand what I'm doing because if I don't, I'm eventually going to send coins to an incorrect address and lose them. Yes, I know I'm ignorant so no need to tell me to do research because that is what I'm trying to do. Please be nice, I'm 68 years old and I don't learn stuff nearly as fast as I used to. I'm not technically stupid as my entire career has been programming and using computers. I have a BS in CompSci. I became involved in computers before PC's existed. And, yeah, I know COBOL! I think that learning a new computer language is easier for me than trying to learn and understand crypto. I'm confident that crypto is going to literally save the world when it replaces fiat currencies but damn. does it have to be so complicated?
