So, ive been on Binance for a while and notice a very strange trend that im assuming is incorrect.
I shorted Doge at .50 with $170 (20x). This would amount to about $3400. Doge has now dropped below .25 which means my profit should be a bit over $3400. However instead the P/L is telling me my gain is $1700, exactly half. My percentage gain is 2000% which, $170x20(equal to 2000%) would again be $3400.
Every indicator would point to me having $3400, yet, oddly, it says I have $1700. Im not really into magically losing 50% on gains and I have to assume the readings are incorrect as they make no mathmatical sense, but I don't want to sell just to see.
Anyone else having this problem? Is it common for gains to be off by 50% and will my $1700 become $3400 if I sell?
Edit: I should add that the % values are accurate initially. So when I was 100% on my account, it showed exactly $340 ($170+$170). Makes sense. This trend only happens when it gets into very high values like 2000%. As if im getting diminishing returns.
