Influencers used dying kids to promote a scam altcoin

All Cryptocurrencies

A token called ‘Save The Kids’ was released in June. It promised investors that a percentage of the proceeds would go to charity.

These are some of the influencers that promoted the token and their combined followers (Youtube/Twitter/Instagram) :

Faze Kay - 9M+

Faze Jarvis - 12M+

Faze Nikan - 3M+

Faze Teeqo - 7M+

RiceGum - 18M+

SommerRay - 27M+

There were some other influencers as well...

The token got rugged just a few days after its launch. These "influencers" claimed that they didn't know it was a scam. Some people found their wallet addresses and all of these investors sold before the big dump.

If you want to know more about this scam, I would recommend checking out Coffezilla's detailed 37 minute VIDEO on this.

This was Faze Kay's "apology" tweet a few days ago

"I want you all to know that I had no ill intent promoting any crypto alt coins. I honestly & naively thought we all had a chance to win which just isn’t the case. I didn't vet any of this with my team at FaZe and I now know I should have. "

Today on twitter Faze Clan announced:

"Faze Kay has been removed from Faze Clan. Faze Jarvis, Teeqo and Nikan have been suspended from Faze Clan until further notice"

Edit: The token was released on the Binance Smart Chain. (of course it was BSC)
