I didn't really know how to word this question / discussion so please bear with me.
I have a 2 year-old kid and like a lot of people with children I want to save a bit each month for their future.
I started the simple route of a monthly amount of X through my bank with the odd cash thrown in a squirrel spot when I'm able to spare it.
Do you think it's worth swapping this strategy for one that partly involves crypto? Obviously only looking at BTC, possibly ETH as I can't see it budging.
While I totally appreciate and would take onboard the risk, the growth potential (we hope) over the next 15-20 years against normal banking is making me wonder if I'd be silly to miss that train.
Would be interesting to hear what people's thoughts are or if they are doing this themselves already. If I'm just being a plank and it's a stupid idea I'll welcome the abuse too.
My hope is by the time they get to use the amount - whichever way it comes - crypto will be an everyday part of their lives.
