Is it worth buying an Ethereum rig at this point?

Hey guys! I'm an Ethereum noob I've done a good bit of research into the direction it's heading as well as the pros and cons. I've been dabbling in other crypto and finally have enough capital to buy a high range mining rig (7500£-£9500) but I'm wondering if it's worth it at this point, especially seeing that Ethereum is moving from a proof of work to a proof of stake sometime in the future. Any and every input would be appreciated, thanks in advance. (GPU Mining)
