The 12 word seed phrase that I used to "recover" my ETH wallet in Metamask was originally generated using the BlueWallet app for BTC. After looking into this more, BlueWallet uses the HD SegWit (BIP84 Bech32 Native) derivation path for the seed phrase, and Metamask would normally use BIP44 (m/44'/60'/0'/0) for generating the seed phrase. My question is, if I lose my phone or Metamask gets deleted, will I be able to recover my ETH account using the BIP84 seed phrase using metamask? Using another ETH wallet? I am afraid to delete my Metamask wallet to try recovering it using the seed phrase. Should I transfer funds to a new account with a BIP44 seed phrase or am I overthinking it? I would prefer to keep the same seed phrase for both my ETH and BTC since I spent a few hours engraving them on a metal seed card already.
