Is there a level of altruism if we come together as a community and decide to use bitcoin to fund green energy mining for big mining companies that aren't green?

This is probably a naive perspective. Maybe it's because I consider myself a "lefty".

I tried to find the most up-to-date statistics on bitcoin mining and hashrates by country, but it seems the most readily available numbers were published in January 2022, when Kazakhstan was the 2nd largest bitcoin-mining country, and just before their government did something to nerf the hashrate, resulting in a blackout.

If we were to make a movement to come together as a community and use bitcoin to buy solar panels and batteries and send them to large-scale mining operations so that they can become carbon neutral, what would you guys think of that idea?

Potential pitfalls / exploits:
1) I think a few of these mining ops would look at the situation and think, "Wow, we have a new energy source. We can use this and our coal energy source to add more hashrate instead of scaling down our coal."
2) Maybe some of these companies would look at the situation and think, "Why on Earth should we accept this? Aren't we a big strong company? We don't need this kind of charity!"
3) Some other situation I might not have foreseen.

Thoughts?

EDIT: I'm not ignorant of the fact that bitcoin takes advantage of stranded energy (solar gas flare mining, methane-gas flare mining, decommissioned hydro-power plants, etc.). However, it's just that there will always be outlier cases and countries where it's cheaper to use coal than solar, wind, and in some cases, nuclear.
