Genuine question here.
I always heard that inflation is good for the economy, and if there was deflation that people would not spend money today because tomorrow it would be worth more. This would be bad for the economy because money wasn't going to be spent, jobs would be lost, etc.
Is this true? And if so, why is bitcoin good? If the value is always increasing, doesn't that mean that more people wouldn't be spending it?
Sorry if I am completely wrong about this, I'm trying to learn all the basics.
