Issue with trust wallet, need to understand if it is a scam and how it works

Hello.

I need help with a matter of a Trust Wallet situation of a friend, to understand if we are being scammed (probably, but I don't understand how).

Right now, the situation is that a person has sent us some crypto on the bsc chain, some useless second rate coin (ISHND old version). He said we would need to make a bridge to fantom to draw it out.

We made this bridge (we made a nenw fantom wallet and activated some tokens on both networks I think).

We had to deposit some bnb and then we'd get some WBTC on the bsc chain, which again seems like a scam/dust coin. Already the value of this wbtc seemed to be 0..

The person said that we'd need to finish the open transaction and it would turn to btc (or btcb?) on the fantom blochchain.

The issue was there was a big amount of money needed to send to transform these coins.. ever increasing and the leftover btc seemed to stop near 10 cents.. here we said stop, we're not doing anything anymore..

Then this person tried depositing some btc on fantom (and succeeded), but somebody else (we don't know who), sent some ftm ont he ftm wallet and retrieved all this bitcoin.

Then this person started accusing us of scamming him.. lol..

Next, and we are here now, he said to bridge to Solana and then we could withdraw to binance.

He had us activate ETH on Solana, which seems to be SOETH, some dead coin which is worth 350 dollars a piece.

Now this person is having us deposit solana to the sol wallet and I see some ETH (Solana growing), showing the real value of ETH (which should not be the case).

I don't think or now how we could recover our money from this situation, I don't see how to turn that SOETH into something like SOL and send it to binance so we can cash out..

So, if anyone understands what's happening, can you please help me understand?

At no point did we use the Swap function on Trust Wallet or use any Dex, which is again strange.

I said maybe I'm not understanding, but I don't want to lose more money on this.

The latest thing I did was deposit 10 dollars of Solana, which were drained and replaced with 0.05 ETH on solana (said it's worth 130 dollar but it should actually be like 20).

It seems like a huge scam but I don't understand how the scammer is winning, since they said they also lost their btc which they deposited.. The scammer does not have access to our trustwallet.

I have found this article on bridge scams, it might be the case here. I wil study it.

Thank you if anyone reads and can help out!
