It is really time to move away from CB wallet

Yesterday was quite a rollercoaster with my CB wallet. For the whole day it was acting weird, constantly showing my BTC and Doge balances on and off. To my horror, when I checked my balance on-chain, it showed a big fat zero for my BTC holdings. This is creepy right? Naturally, I panicked and reached out to their support team. They explained that there was a technical glitch, which they promptly resolved.

The bizarre part is that all of this happened during a Bitcoin spike, but let's chalk it up to sheer coincidence, shall we? However, what troubles me is that even with a wallet and my keys, I wasn't in control of my own coins or able to capitalize on potential profits. So, what guarantees me that this won't happen again?

On a different note, I'd love to hear your suggestions for other hot wallets that are reliable and won't give me heart-stopping moments. I know I should move to a more safe cold wallet, but I don’t think it is right now the right solution for me.
