It's a Trap!

Just doing this as a PSA for the community. You are more than welcome to disagree with me but I'm putting out the warning so I'll know that I did what I could later when people start losing money.

They're spamming this all over reddit, and aside from a shady post 6 months ago linking to some mint site they have done very little on twitter or reddit.

Don't have time to do a full dig into this but trying to make people aware cause the way this space works everyone could be jumping on this by the weekend. I don't trust this 1 bit.

First: I'll be the first one to tell you Quantum is eventually going to be a problem for crypto as things stand right now, these guys are shilling it like it's going to break SHA3 before the decade is out. Let's just say the odds of that happening are rather slim.

Same post over and over on several reddit threads, they look like they are pushing for customers to onboard but pushing this out to dev chats. Wrong language or wrong target audience, one or the other. Maybe they are looking for us (devs) to blindly start implementing this or something using their Git code, I dunno. I'm not passing it on to my clients, that's for sure.

Their analysis on their post doesn't even make sense. They're bypassing problems with network keys by building a smart contract on the network? My legs are long enough, don't need these guys yanking on them.

Then I went to the little test page they put up, scammy looking mint site mentioned above.

There may be something to the idea here. There might be something to the tech, but the whole approach these guys are taking is way off the mark and I told them that. In the meantime I'm warning everyone in my various communities and circles to be on the lookout for new "quantum safe wallets" and treat them like a scam until proven otherwise.

And by proven I mean force a dev to sit down and explain to you how it works, cause rn it's not making a lot of sense.
