"It's cheap, too – there's a flat fee of just £8 [~$10] applied to every transfer" ... Revolut Bank just told me that. Meanwhile, Africa and other parts of the world are still fighting monetary colonialism, while the rest of us are slaves of the petrodoll

Revolut just emailed me, excited, about "new features" (that I'm elligible to receive domestic wire transfers) and wants me to also get excited to pay them $10 USD per transfer.

A must-watch and must-share for everyone who hasn't done so of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) latest video about monetary colonialism in Africa:

Alex Gladstein (*), Chief Strategy Officer at HRF, did a panel discussion with Farida Nabourema, the pro-Bitcoin activist from Togo featured in the above video, also worth watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y74_rqf7A3A

(*) Alex Gladstein did a lot of good work as an activist. He is also the author of the important piece Uncovering the Hidden Costs of the Petrodollar from 1.5 years ago, which is an absolute must-read and must-share if you haven't already (grab a coffee, you won't be disappopinted, even if you know some of the stuff):

Lex Fridman episode with Alex on the Petrodollar (there is also a podcast with Alex by the Bitcoin Magazine with the same title)

Anyone who reads just a little pertinent content about "filthy" / "poor" / "underdeveloped" countries realizes immediately that there is no such thing as a "poor country" but poor people, and that there is arguably no institution more evil on the planet than the World Bank and the IMF. Those less familiar could start with the short documentary War by Other Means by John Pilger and David Munro from 1992, or an even shorter version of it. That was 30+ years ago. Things got worse since. They are getting worse still. In their G20 report in 2021 the World Bank and the IMF recommended countries work together to develop CBDCs to enhance cross-border payments.

Speak against the plutocratic fiat system, the World Bank, the IMF, and banks in general.

Don't get too cheerful when a wealthy entity gobbles a lot of Bitcoin. Acquire and hold Bitcoin before the same wealth inequality sets foot in Bitcoin as it did in fiat.

Speak for Bitcoin.
