It's fine to be "in it for the money" but do you respect the tech?

This isn't one of those "are you in it for the tech?" posts where there are lashing of shame for those who aren't 100% cyberpunks! ????

Crypto is fundamentally about money & finance so we're all here because of that in some way, whether it's the philosophy of sovereignty, the allure of a fairer system, or just to make bank.

The progress of whatever your end game is from that perspective relies heavily on the underlying technology to enable it, obviously. Without it, that progression slows, falters, or stalls completely.

Technological progression never sleeps on the macro, so it must also progress within the micro. If products do not keep pace with that progression, they die. Winners becomes losers. The same is applicable to entire industries (Kodak).

Moreover, invented technology which once served a niche of an industry, regularly crosses the lines in the sand and becomes an enabler in other areas of the same industry. The niche has to now compete with the entire industry, whilst keeping it's advantage with the technical progression which it started.

This is where crypto is today. The technology which allowed it to "step outside" of the status quo is now being used to compete against it. Crypto must continue the technical progression at a pace faster than the competition can adopt it for their own means. If it does not, it will eventually die or be controlled to such a degree there is no advantage.

Everyone here needs the tech to progress, to thrive, to be one step ahead. It's fine to not be in it for the tech, but you must, must, respect the tech!
