I’ve read the top 25 smart contracts, here’s what I’ve found
Today I decided to read the smart contracts of the top 25 tokens from coinmarketcap.com. I did not read their whitepapers so I don’t know what the coins are intended for.
Out of 25 tokens, 16 of them don’t have any custom logic(code). The smart contract contains only the code from the standard (mostly ERC20 from openzeppelin) or add a few methods to the standard that don’t bring any value or that can be used as backdoors by the token owners. This 16 tokes are the following:
ChainLink; Polygon; Wrapped Bitcoin; Shiba; Huobi; Dai; BitFinex; Bitcoin BEP2; Chilliz; Telecoin; MANA; OKEx; Holo (warning! Owner can mint any amount at any time); Celsius (warning! Owner can restrict all transactions at any time)
The remaning tokens that I’ve investigated and their smart contracts reflect that the owners/creators had a vision for the token are the following:
Tether; Uniswap (very interesting contract); USD Coin; Aave; Pencake; Maker (I liked this contract); Crypto; Yearn.finance; SushiSwap (I liked this contract); NexoToken
If you have any questions about any of the above mentioned contracts or other ones, I might be able to provide technical information.
