Hinman for those who are not following the case made a public speech using the terms "we" and "us" (meaning the SEC) that ETH is a non security. After leaving the SEC he later joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance where he has a $1.6mn/yr pension. With many saying this was essentially a conflict of interest for him.
