Do you guys remember all of the talk and media focus on how Bitcoin "is a bubble" and how it is just like the tulip mania of 1637? It is funny how all of that talk is now gone in 2021 -- and it was nonsense to begin with (since obviously tulips are lacking all advantages / characteristics of bitcoin) but in almost all conversations I had at that time around bitcoin, the no-coiner would refer to the tulip mania of 1637. In this cycle the media reporting switched to regulatory focus, which is clearly an improvement in the sense that it is the acknowledgement that bitcoin is here to stay. [link] [comments] |
