I thought I’d already spent a fair bit of money on a Ledger Nano getting my Bitcoin off the exchange only to find out Ledger, a so-called industry leading company, can apparently outsource access to my cold storage when I thought the whole point of the product was absolute security. I’m over here with my seed phrase etched on steel just in case my house burns down under the assumption that it was the most secure way to have it backed up and secure and Ledger releases a new feature that negates the entire point. I’m to understand as well that their wallets weren’t secure in the first place if they can be updated like this, they could have effectively done it at any time. My question now is what about other cold storage wallets? I’ve heard Trezor isn’t any better. Is BitBox then the way to go? I’m wrecking my spending budget right now buying the BitBox02. Is anyone else annoyed as all fuck with Ledger right now?
