Kucoin and kyc verification in the US

Hey guys, I hope this is posted in the right sub. I have a kucoin account and I haven't logged in for a while and when I did it is saying I am in a restricted region (the US) and I must fill out a KYC. What is the best way to get my money out of the kucoin account? I'm afraid if I attempt anything it will lock me out or tell me I'm in a restricted region so I'm screwed. I don't mind doing the KYC although it's frustrating (because crypto used to be so much more anonymous) but to do it only to find out I shouldn't have is what I'm afraid of. Please let me know if anyone is familiar with kucoin or my situation and can share some advice.
