As you know I like to post these weekly updates, I'm Venezuelan living here and I really like crypto!
Some people don't like this post but I think some people do! And I think it's better than a lot of post in this sub (I don't judge, if I like UPVOTE if I don't DOWNVOTE, that is how reddit works).
Back to the topic, years ago LocalBitcoin was the king when trading BTC here in Venezuela. But time has passed and it has lost the 1st stop, but THEY have a open data where you can see everything.
New options are Binance (they have a big focus in Venezuela, you can even trade P2P Bolivares to Crypto and Crypto to Bolivares), Reserve, AirTM and others. BUT they don't put their stats.
- Yes, MONTHLY minimum wage is 2.4 USD. But average wage is around 50-80 USD monthly (still something crazy!).
- According to several NGO, a 5 members family needs around 400 USD monthly to live.
- There are supermarket and department stores where you can in fact pay with cryptos.
- In one month, goverment will remove six zeroes from the national currency so 1,000,000 Bs. will become 1 Bs. This doesn't have any economic effect, prices and wages will be the same in absolute values.
AMA!
