Legder Alternative?

Really don't want to stay with them. Been given some recommendations already but would like to know more. Please explain your choice also as to why you trust your particular wallet. Preferably nothing made in a China. A well designed interface is a plus, but safety is my number one concern.

Thought I was being responsible by moving my crypto to Ledger but they straight up lied. So there was no way of knowing, even having done my DD on them before purchasing. How they thought this was a good move is beyond me.
