Some people propose that he was Satoshi himself, and I’ve personally recognized that possibility. It’s something I’ve thought about often and his death in 2014 to ALS and subsequent cryopreservation piques my interest as he could have interest to wake up someday the richest man in the world.
I’ve read however that he also spent most of his bitcoin to cover his medical costs. I’m not sure how much of that is true, but it would make sense to spend only his recognized Hal btc addresses to save his life.
Would it not be inconceivable that he held his ultimate secret to his death having a hidden stash of ‘Satoshi’ funds hoping to be rejuvenated to health someday as the richest man in the world?
It does make me question that a man of such intelligence would believe he could be someday rejuvenated to health, giving his body to an organization that seems so sketch to preserve it… the only thing I can think of was that it was just a lottery bet on the off-chance it could be possible someday, that he would return a god. Otherwise he would indirectly contribute to every bitcoiner henceforth, another incredibly legendary move.
Anyhow I personally will always admire Hal’s contributions and I recognize him as being the first bitcoiner.
Whoever Satoshi is, I personally believe that any alive individual wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to be recognized with that sizable accomplishment. He/she is already dead or it was an organized effort from multiple parties who have interest in its continued success.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
