Low effort content

In this sub you get way less upvotes than in other subs - but are really MOONs the reason? If there is a post or comment that people like it get's plenty of upvotes anyway. Ok, it might be still less because of MOONs. But to me it appears the main reason is what people like and what not.

Not every stupid joke gets upvoted, but some running gags get upvote every single time for weeks. Not every news post gets upvoted, but some have so many upvotes, that it becomes every MOON farmers wet dream. Same thing for these pointless posts where people are repeating the same things over an over again - even though the topics are not stupid, reading a post about it every day kinda is.

Honest efforts do get valued, but less than some of these things.

So I wonder why are we upvoting the same shit over and over again? Do you really enjoy your everday "DCA is best" advice post or all this pointless news without any actually relevant information?

I totally get why MOON farmers would create all this low effort content, what I don't get is why we upvote it?
