Machiavelli - The Art of Power in The Modern World - How the Fiat currency introduces the stealth tax of inflation.

I watched this last night having no idea the direction it would take. Machiavelli wrote how leaders can control a population, they would usually spend, spend, spend become hugely popular from this then have to raise taxes to pay and be hated and eventually removed. With currency no longer being backed by gold, printing money gives them a chance to keep spending more than they have, the downside is inflation which saps the value out of the currency we use and destroys our spending power.One brief mention of Bitcoin when he talks about assets to safeguard against inflation, but this over 45 minutes is a pretty darn convincing case for Bitcoin!
