Mainstream crypto = Mainstream UX | Does such a thing exist yet?

I'm probably stating the obvious here, but until the user experience of crypto for a non-tech newbie can rival the ease and simplicity of general run of the mill banking applications I think we're going to have a really hard time dominating the world of finance at large.

General UX has improved massively since the early days sure, Metamask and similar wallet experiences really opened up crypto to a mid-level tech competence demographic, and since then there have been many small incremental improvements.

Alas, I'm yet to discover an experience which really makes me think "Hey, Grandmas could use this". Pitching crypto to Millennials + Gen Z often results in complaints about the complexity getting started, using it, self-custody etc let alone Boomers. This is even before the discussion gets into security, hacks, volatility and all those fun topics.

Curious what is the best user experience Redditors have seen so far? What project was it? How did it compare to your run of the mill banking application?

Also curious to hear about things you think are lacking, or hurdles that need to be overcome before we can get there.
