Mastercard will help banks offer cryptocurrency trading

Payments giant Mastercard has unveiled a new program called Crypto Source, with which it plans to allow financial institutions to offer cryptocurrency trading to their customers. Other associated related services will also be associated with this.

Mastercard has joined forces with the Paxos Trust to support this program. The executive director justified the move by saying that cryptocurrencies are on the cusp of the real mainstream, and the planned program will help banks offer cryptocurrency services to their clients.

Financial institutions that become or are already partners will gain access to a complete package of services. These primarily include the purchase, holding and sale of cryptocurrencies. The package will be expanded to include identity verification, cyber, consulting and security services. Crypto Secure will complement Crypro Source with additional security for the cryptocurrency ecosystem, Mastercard emphasized.
