Micropayments For the Internet Now Possible With Code (Created by Kik Founder)

Hey everyone!

Micropayments, which we can define as payments ranging from $0.05 to $1.00, have historically not been possible with traditional payment methods, like credit cards, due to fee structures and charge back issues. It is only with cryptocurrency that this becomes possible, particularly on Solana due to its incredibly low fees.

Code Inc, the not-for-profit organization created by the founder of Kik Messenger, Ted Livingston, has recently launched the Code mobile payments app as well as an SDK for web developers to easily integrate micropayments with just a few lines of code. The user experience is incredibly smooth and has already caught the attention of VCs like Michael Arrington of Arrington Capital. This has immense potential to transform payments on the internet and finally unlock mainstream adoption of crypto as an actual currency.

Potential use cases are vast - from micro-paywalls to access content, like a single news article or blog post, to earns and spends inside of web games and social media.
