Migrating off from Ledger, using the same seed phrase?

From past events and browsing through this subreddit, it seems ledger is not secure anymore, I have decided to go for Trezor.

Is it safe to use the same seed phrase I had in Ledger in the new wallet? (reason I am asking is because I have it memorized by heart)

Also which is the best hardware wallet, that won’t end up like Ledger? Is Trezor good?
