Once a miner picks up transactions from the mempool, batches them into a proposed block and solves the cryptographic puzzle he sends that proposed new block back to the full nodes for verification. Once the validity of the block is verified, this block is confirmed and added to the blockchain.
My question: what is the consensus rule behind the full nodes verifying that new proposed block? Do all full nodes need to confirm that the block and its content is valid or do we need only a majority of them to do so? If it is a consensus by majority, what percent is needed for majority?
