Edit : for people saying bitcoin wasn't intended to be anonymous, in the Bitcoin white paper, Satoshi said "The traditional banking model achieves a level of privacy by limiting access to information to the parties involved and the trusted third party. The necessity to announce all transactions publicly precludes this method, but privacy can still be maintained by breaking the flow of information in another place: by keeping public keys anonymous." but KYC regulations require identity verification, linking real-world identities to public keys on exchanges. This connection undermines the privacy nature of Bitcoin, as authorities can trace transactions back to individual users. As a result, the privacy benefits Satoshi Nakamoto envisioned are difficult to achieve when using KYC-compliant exchanges.
