I am calling out the community to start Moon Monday. The first day of the week where we start off fresh and strong by tipping our fellow CCR buddies with a moon or two when they post and make good comments. Its a shame tipping is not the norm but maybe with this idea we can get in the habit of tipping so let's give it a shot. Hell, Maybe you tip a noob who has zero moons just for courtesy and to get them started on this journey. This sub needs more and better moon engagement.
Before we get to Moon Monday, yesterday I posted wondering if anyone in this sub ever tips. First of all thanks so much to everyone that engaged and enlightened me on the current situation between users and moons. I learned a lot and here are some things I discovered.
1- Yes. People do tip. Its does happen but as often as it should. Someone yesterday shared a link with a site that shows all who tip, receive tips and so on. Great site. I hope when I visit it again in a few months the list has 10xd.
2- Setting up your vault and wallet. To tip you have already set up your vault and saved your seed phrase. You downloaded a new meta mask wallet and imported the seed which has the same address Reddit gave you. Save your vault password. If you lose it you have your private keys.
3- Tipping. This can be a bit confusing and it should not be but OK. To tip you click the little moon icon next to the user name (this must be done on desktop). S mall pop up will appear showing the name of the user you wish to tip and the amount of moons you wish to tip. Hit continue. At this point you will be prompted on your mobile by Reddit. You open the app and your vault will automatically open asking you to confirm the TX, Hit send. Sadly for me lately this has been glitching. Ween I am prompted by Reddit on mobile from my desk top I click the alert and the vault opens and immediately shuts for some reason. This is annoying. Hopefully this is fixed soon.
4- Tip moons directly from your MM. If you know the users address you can send your moons from your MM wallet. If you wish to find the user address you can click on their profile. If they have a Reddit NFT you can click their click details below their avatar. Scroll down and click view on explorer. Find the user address and tip them moons. If the user doesn't have an NFT and you can't find their address you can always ask them for it. Keep in mind that with all the scams and hacks some noobs are hesitant to share this info. Its understandable.
5- Gas? Yes, You will need gas to tip moons. We are not on ethereum main net so fear not. We are on Arbitrum Nova. Add the net work to your MM wallet. If you don't know how use chain list. All the networks you ever wanted are there for you to add to your MM. Now you can bridge eth to arb nova. Send eth via a CEX or go to an arbitrum nova faucet. Yesterday someone shared a link which got me a little eth to tip moons. I know this seems difficult but trust me when I say doing these things is fun. You are now using eth on Layer 2 baby transacting for pennies. One things that had me very confused was that Reddit NFT's are sold via open sea via Polygon network. SO I could not understand what I needed for moons or where they lived and what polygon had to do with this. Polygon and moons are not a thing.
6 - Moon Monday. So now to the finally. We are not tipping enough. We are not creating enough on chain activity. We are not being generous enough with one another. There are so many sour apples on this sub that I feel tipping users tips the scale of bad reputation this sub has when it comes to being rude and antagonistic. It feels crappy when you post or comment something and some keyboard wizard behind a screen calls you all kinds of names they would never say to your face. So why not be generous and tip each other. Once you do you will realize tipping is so easy. Yes, it should be easier but this is what we have. My goal is that tomorrow we start off our day by blowing up this sub by tipping each other for users who post or comment. For making us laugh or helping us learn. Because you simply see a noob with zero moons or a noob asking something innocent about crypto. Or simply because finding a tip in their wallet makes people feel good. Most importantly though Moon Monday will become a thing and like everything on Reddit it spreads like wildfire. We need more activity. We need more engagement. We need more education. We need to laugh at each other more often. We need to tip more. Moon Mondays baby. Every Monday moving forward. Set your stuff up and tip. Let's go!
See you tomorrow.
