What's surprising is this article is written by Ross Clark who is known for his libertarian views, advocacy for free-market economics and critique of government intervention (see his books "Not Zero" and "The War Against Cash"). It doesn't take much reading to see that he struggles to understand the technology and I think it's a shame he's writing Bitcoin off as a massive Ponzi scheme.
