Edit: I mistyped the title. Will there ever be something fully decentralized*.
love the idea of something decentralized in nowadays world. And I think we can reach some high level of decentralization, just I am not sure if it can ever be fully decentralization...
All recent events, CEOs talking about trusting the companies etc made me question this...
I really can believe to some company. The problem is, trusting someone doesn't mean that one will never make a mistake that can cost both of us.
Also, do you know when Bitcoin network was down in 2013, when BTC network was split in half? Well, it was a big problem, and it was solved mostly because Bitcoin was centralized enough so developers coordinated with mining pools to choose the fork. Well, we are basically using that one fork from 2013. The other one is gone.
That would not be possible if BTC was fully decentralized though. Link with wider and better explanation if you are interested.
Indeed, what Satoshi did was a historical move. Being completely anonymous decentralized BTC more then we can think. Second biggest coin is ETH. What would happen with it if Vitalik decides to go away and leave the project to the other people? Would it crash? Is that decentralized?
All these events, are making me question. Will crypto ever be fully, trully decentralized, or are there always goint go be big players, whales, governments that can create big impact on it.
