Mt Gox and Kraken

I was unfortunate to have BTC on Mt Gox when it went tits-up. I learnt that Kraken would be an exchange they would use when the receivers had eventually sorted things out so I opened an account with Kraken. I never really used it but it just sat there. Recently I had to update some security things and they advised that all was good to receive BTC from Mt Gox.
I then get informed that Mt Gox have transferred my BTC to Kraken, I went to look but balance was zero. I received another request from Kraken for a photo of me with my passport and a note requesting a bunch of stuff which I supplied. I thought that they were withholding my BTC awaiting this photo. A day after supplying the photo I received back from support an email saying they had closed my account (saying they cannot tell me why for security reasons)
Also they were cutting me off from future communications. I mean WTF, effectively they are stealing my BTC sent to me from the Mt Gox settlement.
I thought Kraken was a reputable exchange, they have been around a long time, this must be being done at a low level, surely upper management would be horrified at what has happened to me. Trust me, I won't be letting this rest!
