My thoughts on the crypto world

So my goal is to share my thoughts and observations that have formed over the years.It isnt chronological or following a red line.

I first got introduced to BTC in first half of 2010s. I dont remember exactly when, but BTC was around 35 euros and the next thing was Litecoin.

My first exchange was Bitstamp and BTC-E and then Poloniex. Anyhow, at that time there was genuine interest in the future possibilities of blockchain integration. Like AI nowadays, you couldn't make 2 steps without some awesome project that will revolutionise the world as we know it.

Blockchain for voting, blockchain for data management, blockchain for improving your favorite mayonaise recipe.

I mean, the people who were in it, wholeheartedly believed in this and it was obvious that they are in this with heart and soul.

Then BTC started gaining value and more and more service providers appeared. First BTC ATMs appeared. Brick and mortar stores offered Buy/Sell your crypto in the vape shop.

Ethereum popped up and i bought it at 6€/piece. I got 40 of them, but had to sell some for like 8€ cause i needed cash. Yeah.

I was introduced to The Dao Project, which seemed like a good thing and then something happened and it all went to shit. Does anyone remember what happened?

By the year 2018 i was able to travel from EU country to Poland, where i could exchange my crypto for euros/dollars and continue my trip to Japan. So my travel was completely possible with crypto and it felt amazing.

I know i am just listing random events, but has a single "project" using some crypto related technology ever come to fruition? I have a feeling everything just withered and turned into money hunting and now to completely hideous unregulated gambling and scamming.

I also noticed that people that owned the ATMs or exchanges - most of them sold their business and moved out of crypto.

And to be honest, the only reason i am still in the shithole that crypto world has become is cause im trying to earn money legally(????). But all of the "noble" causes disappeared. Turns out nobody is benefiting from blockchain in their diet

Every day there are more and more ridiculous coins and tokens coming out. Only purpose to pump and dump.

Like, do you guys really think that the most descriptions of coins make sense? Its like random crypto techno babble generator makes something up about revolutionising something that nobody wants or needs.

Also, when the color is green. Everyone has predictions of trillions coming next week.

And then it dips a little bit and people are flooding the forums with posts that feel like the doomsday is upon us.

I dont know. Im kind of lost. The only reason i know some form is here to stay is due to ability to purchase drugs online. And thats not going anywhere.

I just had to vent a bit. Sorry
