NANO releases v26.1 Node software update aimed at spam mitigation

NANO announces full release of nano node V26.1 Tremissis - an upgrade that significantly improves network efficiency and resiliency, particularly during adverse network conditions like heavy spam.

Recently there has been a network degerdation on the account of 2M spam blocks propagated that reduced confirmation times from <1 second to 15-20 seconds and got a few nodes out of sync, this update aims at solving such attack vectors and aims at better spam mitigation. The effect of this update has already seen drastic improvement across the network with network catching up and prioritizing regular transactions over spam with much better effeciency within hours of release.
