New Cycle Coins vs. BTC vs. ETH, October 27, 2023 Update

Hi all, here is an update on this ongoing research analysis. But first a reminder of how this started:

After analysing the new entrants (after December 2021) into the top 200 rankings, I have put my money where my thesis and research is and have bought a basket of 10 of these coins today (9th September, 2023, 3pm, EST Australia).

I have bought 5 of the top 100 and 5 of the 100-200 ranking so evenly splitting the rankings. As an Aussie, and put in $10 each of these coins, totalling $100 AUD which is about $64 USD right now. But it is always good to have skin in the game and I would probably spend that money at the pub anyway.

I decided to compare my basket to BTC and ETH because even though my crypto portfolio is top heavy in BTC and ETH, I am always being 'advised' to buy BTC and ETH only on this subreddit. So let's see if that is the best strategy after all.

The total crypto market will be a comparison as well to see how this basket goes against that.

Here is the latest update from October 27 after this nice pump we experienced lately and I felt the tide had gone into the new altcoins after BTC's pump:

So BTC remains king at 26% up after the last update and a nice 11% ahead of this portfolio. Although this portfolio is performing the same as ETH since the last update and nearly on par with ETH overall.

The total amount is now $107 which is now in the green by 7%. If I only bought Merit Circle (which I believe is turning into Beam soon) I would be 60% up since I started. Astar and Aptos are now in the green in my portfolio after being in the red.

Really looking forward how this performs in the future. At least it is beating the %change of the total crypto market cap. It was a good last week for the whole space and with the BTC Spot ETFs imminent in the US (I still think they will be approved next March with funny buggers beforehand to pump up price), it will be interesting how these new coins to the market perform overall. Although there will be an addition of new coins (like Celestia - TIA, due = October 31st), it still will be interesting to see how these go.
