New dapp idea/project: Self-hosted 'Kickstarter/Groupon' alternative

Hello dear Ethereum community!

A couple of years ago I had the idea to use Ethereum for group buying. But none of the existing solutions really fit my needs, so I started developing one on my own: https://crowdtainer.io. Maybe, with EIP-4844 going live soon, these type of applications that require low transaction costs would have a proper chance to flourish?

As I researched self-hosting “crowdfunding / group buying” software, I was surprised this isn’t even a category on the popular awesome-selfhosting list, although group orders are quite popular for instance, in China. Am I crazy and nobody wants this, or should we create a new category there?

What do you think? Do you find Crowdtainer interesting? I'd really appreciate your feedback either in the comments or by answering the poll.

I find unfortunate that 95%+ of "crypto" is just about speculation. This is my take on making an app aiming positive, real life applications, not just for me but hopefully interesting for others to bring their own ideas to life as well.

Crowdtainer allows you to self-host campaigns without having to rely on any proprietary software, reducing external dependencies as much as possible.

Use-cases:

• E-commerce Bulk / group orders: Buy collectively to enable new projects and lower costs for everyone.
• Crowdfunding in general: Fund your app feature development, fund a book, etc.

Differentiators:

• Focus on real life applications (E-commerce, easy compliance, integration with existing systems).
• Minimalistic (e.g. by avoiding external dependencies makes it easier to self-host and to comply with GDPR).

Although I still have to properly document it, you can see what is done by looking at the user stories, and the system description.
