I'm new to crypto mining. Well, re-newed would be more accurate. I was mining Bitcoin in 2010 and 2011. Got 7 or 8 and stored them on a thumb drive. I lost the thumb drive sometime around 2014 during a divorce. It's most likely in a landfill.
I just started mining again a few weeks ago. I chose to start with Ravencoin (RVN) and Monero (XMR). I'm not mining for money. I don't care about the day too day profits. I'm speculating on coins. If I still had those Bitcoin in December 2021 I'd be retired right now. I'm not gonna lose my coins again. I want a mixed bag of decent coins to mine and HOLD (HODL).
Is it worth trying to mine ETH with a desktop gpu or do I need an ASIC? I've got (2) RTX 2060 and (1) GTX 1660 Super.. I don't know how to hook those all up and hit one coin at a time so I've got the 1660 Super working on RVN and I decided to run the two RTX 2060 on ETH.
Any input from the hive?
