NFTs as a way to fundraise for orphanages

I've been volunteering in some local orphanages for the last few years and I noticed that kids there LOVE art in every form available. Why is a question better discussed between people with special degrees in behavioral psychology.

I've been thinking that it could be a great way to help and back up those kids for the first steps in real world outside of orphanages by helping them create personal wallets and turning their art (not sure about that one – drawings could be digitalised but what to do with sculptures?) into NFT collections to make some pocket money (let's be real – I don't think that orphans are a topic hyped enough to pump those NFTs to the moon)

I do believe it could be a positive initiative but given that overhyped projects not backed by any idea (except for greed and a little bit of initial creativity) were touching the depths of abyss in terms of price and public trust lately – what steps should be taken to separate this from pump'n'dump projects?

I don't want nor need any personal gains from this. Let's say recently I've been overcome with emphatic feelings towards those struggling in life one way or another. There are also a bunch of understuffed animal shelters struggling to get enough donations to keep doing what they do – it'd be great to somehow help those too.
