NFTs without history or utility are essentially shit coins.

Don't get me wrong, I think NFTs have the potential for a lot of good. Like NFT event tickets that don't allow trading or reselling could curb scalpers. I think there is a lot of potential there. However, right now the wild majority of NFTs are probably going to be looked back on as a here today gone tomorrow event.

I'm not saying all NFTs are worthless, some clearly have immense value, but those are the rare few that have either a lot of history in the crypto space or had the right marketing campaign behind them.

If you like an NFT, buy it! I've got some of the HotWheels NFTs with the real car redemption as part of their contract. I even have one of them saved as my phone's lock screen! I also realize that once I have that physical car the NFT will probably tank in value to a point of being a novelty collectors item.
