No Left vs. Right , Just State vs. You

Nighttime Baby Change Economic Thought: Gaslighting happens on both sides. One that bothers me lately is the demonizing of businesses that provide job opportunities for making “record profits” and not passing down more to the people that work for them. This aims the failure of government to keep inflation (monetary expansion) under control (or at 0) at the job creators instead of at bureaucrats who are devaluing the currency.

In a hard money world (one where the currency retains its value or goes up in purchasing power)an employee would not need constant raises to keep up with their standard of life and would really only receive them for recognition or incremental productivity increases. As inflation robs people and businesses of purchasing power, the business MUST make record profits nominally, to even stay in business.

When someone like Elizabeth Warren or some MSM hollers on this topic, they speak of nominal profit increases rather than real profit increases as a percentage of revenue adjusted for inflation. So I would ask that anyone reading consider appropriately directing any burning fire inside regarding this topic, not at the business and productive class but rather at the non-productive rent seeking bureaucrats looking to turn the people on each other rather than doing what we are all forced to do, more with less.

For both sides, It’s easy to get re-elected appeasing voters with bills that benefit them by devaluing the money via printing press or saddling the next generation with crippling debt. It’s hard and politically unpopular to be truthful and make the decisions today that will make the country a better place for our children.

Please be kind, work hard, produce more than you consume, see the bigger picture and hopefully one day, we can vote for candidates that have more than a couple years to live with a vision of the country beyond a 4 year election cycle.
