Hi,
A year ago, I posted about coming up with a bachelor's project related to cryptocurrencies. I chose to design, build and host an order book system on the Ethereum Virtual Machine in Solidity. Imagine that you are using Binance to sell BTC for USDT on Binance's BTC-USDT order book. Instead of being connected to Binance's servers, you are connected to Ethereum servers. This allows the exchange to be easily accessible from anywhere in the world.
(If you know dYdX, it's that but with less functionality, easier to understand but also dirtier code)
I released it a few months ago but it was broken due to the Rinkeby network shutting down and some test cases not working. Finally, I fixed the Ethereum endpoints, added instructions on how to use the app and added a test case to elaborate on how automated test cases work.
I learned a lot during the process and decided to make it open-source in case someone wanted to take a look at some amateur order book examples.
