If I want to move my ETH out of an exchange and into a wallet or cold storage, my understanding is I will pay gas fees. In the future will I pay gas fees to put my ETH back on an exchange or perform transactions? My understanding is yes. Will this be true in 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, or 50 years? In know that's a crazy time horizon but curious if over time gas fees will be reduced / done away with, or if it is inherently apart of ETH. My understanding is a 40% reduction is gas fees are being targeted post ETH "upgrade" (not sure what to really call it).
In short, I want to get my ETH off an exchange, will I pay fees now and later or just now.?
Thanks
