Now that the initial shock has passed, it's time to figure out where to go from here.

Reddit's announcement caught us all by surprise.

Some decided to use the time to sell as quickly as possible and minimize damages, some are still trying to understand what is happening and there are some who have not even heard of it at all (what a surprise they are going to have).

Now it's good for the Mods to take the reins and show the community where we're headed from here.This community existed before the RCP and there is no reason why it will not remain after.

There are already some unofficial reddit communities doing wonderful things and I think this can be used for the benefit of our community as well.

Let's raise a vote and let the community choose which direction we should go.

TL;DR: We recently made the decision to sunset the Community Points beta, including Special Memberships, by November 8th. At that point, you’ll also no longer see Points in your Reddit Vault nor earn any more Points in your communities. Though we saw some future opportunities for Community Points, there was no path to scale it broadly across the platform.
